Phi Theta Kappa
This week we were asked to make a t-shirt design for our campus's Phi Theta Kappa honors society. Since there was little interest to create a shirt they have asked our Design 1 class to create a shirt. Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in higher education. They focus on recognizing and encouraging academic achievement of two-year college students. Their colors are gold and blue, so i definitely wanted to incorporate that in the shirt. We had to have the Phi Theta Kappa, or the greek letters, included in the design along with the chapter at our school, Rho Chi. The gold oak leaves symbolize stability and strength of character. I decided to add what the society stands for and add them to the leaves; honors, aspiration, leadership, service, success, fellowship, wisdom, achievement and character. I also incorporated the acronym for Tarrant County College in the front so people will know what school they belong to in Phi Theta Kappa.
